And so, after months of waiting , the trailer for The Hobbit: the Desolation of Smaug is finally out!
I must admit that I feel a little disappointed with it though. Perhaps it is because the wife and I have recently become hard-core fans of A Game of Thrones, and lines about 'the nature of evil' somehow seem a little trite after watching the whole of Seasons 1 and 2 on DVD.
But what I really find troubling about this trailer is those blue blue eyes of Legolas. So, was he running around wearing tinted contact lenses while trekking across half of Middle Earth with Aragorn and Gimli, or is this just an affectation that he had in his youth while still living in Mirkwood with his dear old Dad?
